I’ve worked in beautiful homes from Biltmore Forest in Asheville, North Carolina, to the Cullasaja Falls cliffside development in Highlands, Cashiers, Toxaway and the Low Country communities on Lakes Keowee, Hartwell, and Lanier. I’ve worked closely with architects, designers, builders, and some really great homeowners. My love is designing and creating the feel of those environments—each one different to fit your lifestyle and feel in your "ME" environment.
I have designed and built everything from intentionally intricate, simple, and craftsman-style staircases to beautiful kitchens with chef-inspired functionality. Additionally, I have designed bars, fireplace cabinets, and mantels and carefully crafted furniture, picture and mirror frames, and mountain art detailed with poplar bark and mountain laurel collected with a permit in the Pisgah and Oconee National Forests. I’ve even farmed barnwood with a nature enhanced patina.
I’ve transitioned from the heavy lifting of the shop to the artistry at the design table. Today, I pair that hand-crafted history with high-level technical engineering, providing my clients with a level of digital precision and data that ensures the vision we create together fits the reality of their home perfectly. I understand the structure and the feel of a home from the foundation to the time it becomes a place you love to share with your family and associates—but mostly, with your best friend and best friends.
I live on a houseboat with character in a marina on Lake Hartwell. I designed and built everything in it to look at and live in; it's my safe place. It is my home and my office. When I take a notion, I start the engine, untie the lines, and head out to maybe my favorite cove my boat neighbor named "Make Belize" or to J.R. Cash’s at Bigwater Marina. It’s a great place to be me and design foodie environments for my new friends while floating on the lake loving life.
I’m currently booking design collaborations for the coming season. If you’re ready to find the "flow" of your next environment,
Let's untie the lines and get started.
Cheers, Eric
